Introducing Qoros – An expression of individual design and elegance

By 6 months ago 0 comments

What or who is Qoros you might ask?

Qoros is a new independent car-maker headquartered in China that will make its public debut at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show where it will unveil its first in a series of new products aimed at discerning young buyers in China and Europe. Their debut car will be a compact four-door sedan designed by Executive Director of Design Gert Hildebrand, who was responsible for styling BMW’s Mini.

As its name implies, the Qoros brand will stand first and foremost for a strong commitment to product and service quality. This will be delivered by a close team working throughout the organization, with all functions coordinated like a well-orchestrated chorus.

Qoros was founded in 2007 as a joint venture between Chery Automobile (China’s largest independent car manufacturer) and Israel Corporation (global industrial holding company). Despite being a new entrant to the automobile world, Qoros has already secured support from global suppliers such as Magna Steyr, TRW, Continental, Bosch, Microsoft and Iconmobile and many others. Led by Gert Volker, Qoros cars will blend functional style and unique designs to form its brand identity.

A design study explores the implementation of the ‘desirable elegance’ theme that defines the Qoros brand’s forthcoming family of models

In fact, Hyundai Veloster is scheduled to be launched in Malaysia on sometimes next month. It is a more affordable alternative to the greatly acclaimed Volkswagen Scirocco, roughly the size of a Honda CR-Z, and comes with a lot of features for a car of its price.

The attractive ‘fluidic sculpture’ design language gives distinctive character lines, window line and muscular wheel arches. The 6-LED decorated projection headlights, hexagon front grille, hood scoop and panaromic sunroof gives the Veloster an agressive front end design.
