As the nation moves forward, there will undoubtedly be more vehicles on the road. So much so that, we are forced to find alternatives to divert the traffic by building super highways on top of each other.

To Valet or Not to Valet?

By 1 year ago 0 comments

There’s an air of defiance when one opts for valet parking service and as of late, there are more places providing the services. Most of the time, valet parking is convenient and it saves a lot of time from looking for parking space. To some, it keeps their mind at peace knowing the car is taken car off and others; it’s just another way to impress clients or partners.

Although all that sums up to a glamourous fairy tale, when you know what happens behind the scenes, it’s not so great after all. In fact, it might make you think twice before going for valet parking.

There was a time when I was in my car about to exit the parking of a hotel only to find out that there were two jockeys who were driving out the Mercedes to the customers with total disregard of the cars. They sped up and by the time the cars arrived at the bottom of the platform, it hit hard on the ground. They continued speeding afterwards. Since then I was traumatised to know jockeys who have no respect for their job and cars. Read more ›

To Be Safe

By 1 year ago 0 comments

As we move forward through the years, safety features in cars play an important role in our decision-making. The standards have changed. Before, such abbreviations like ESP or ABS are unheard of, but today, having them would be a blessing in disguise.

While it is a bonus to be rated by Euro NCAP and get rewarded with it’s gold stars, it is not really a big deal here. At least not yet. The objective for such a test like this is to equip car buyers/owners with full awareness regarding the safety benefits offer to them and their families.

Even though at the end of the day, it all depends on how we react and control when facing a situation, at least the danger is minimised. That way, we can have no qualms when driving in heavy rain or unforeseen circumstances. Read more ›

Put Your (Proper) Shoes On

By 1 year ago 0 comments

A few days ago, when I was going out for a drive, I realised my driving confidence plummeted and it was certainly not due to the motorists zigzagging on the road. Running through a checklist in my head, I noticed it was my thin-soled shoes I wore responsible for the anxiety to kick into overdrive.

This is a true testament why wearing proper shoes for driving is crucial in our daily life. Because there are many of us out there who wears high heels, thick-soled shoes or no shoes at all, they don’t realised the potential danger it brings to them and indirectly to others as well.

Super size fun with Scalextric

By 1 year ago 0 comments

If there’s one thing we need more in this world is perhaps fun, and TV shows bringing people together doing something. A lot like what James May’s Toy Stories had achieved during their filming.

I find this show a very entertaining one, almost as entertaining as Top Gear. Just as mind blowing, witty and enough sarcasm injected by Captain Slow. As the title of the series suggest, it’s about James May reintroducing old games into the new century, from air fix to Lego but with a twist. Each episode has it’s own super size idea of the game.

Nurture the love in the name of Motorsport

By 1 year ago 0 comments

Being present at the 11th Merdeka Millennium Endurance Race (MMER) last weekend was an experience I’ll never forget. Observing the 95% empty seats on the grandstand was not one I planned to remember ever again.

To think that an internationally recognised event such as MME would have garnered many people to come and support, it certainly was not the case. It was disheartening to witness the crowd that was not there in the grandstand albeit many people in the paddock. It simply was not enough to fill up the seats across the pit.

So, it got me thinking, why did this happened?
