Honda Malaysia announced the release of the CR-Z with Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT) with 7-Speed Paddle Shift for Malaysians., The Japanese based automaker has put the CR-Z equipped with a CVT transmission with a starting price of RM119,000 on the road in Peninsular Malaysia. This means that the CVT transmission is RM4,000 more expensive than the six-speed manual version on the road price of RM 115,013.50. Honda CR-Z with its CVT transmission also comes 100,000 km or three-year warranty. In addition, the battery gets a five-year/140,000 km warranty.
Before this, the CR-Z only been available with a 6-speed manual transmission only. According to the car manufacturer, the introduction of the CR-Z CVT adds an additional variant to the Honda Hybrid Family in Malaysia that has Insight, Jazz Hybrid and the 6-Speed manual CR-Z. Both models will be sold at the same time as, therefore now customers will have an option of either a manual or a CVT.
Engine and specification:
Equipped with 1.5L i-VTEC engine coupled with Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) Hybrid System engine, it has a capacity to deliver 123 PS of maximum power at 167 Nm of torque. The Honda CR-Z CVT is equipped with the same engine as the manual variant This efficient combination allows drivers to have a reactive and thrilling driving experience.
The CR-Z CVT feature 3-Mode Drive System that lets the driver to change the mode to SPORT, NORMAL and ECO to suit different driving styles and road situations.
The CR-Z CVT is available in four exterior colors such as Premium White Pearl, Storm Silver Metallic, Milano Red, and Crystal Black Pearl. This CVT version of the CR-Z will not just reflects as a stylish hybrid but will also to attract more buyers.
