Motorists are constantly on the lookout for anything that can help them save fuel. For those fortunate enough, a change of car is the an easy way to achieve it but the fact is, the most effective way to make your driving more efficient is to practise the proper driving techniques. Fuel and lubricant giant Shell has been an active proponent of this, empowering the drivers to save more, all the time.
The company’s newest effort, “Target One Million” is a global Shell initiative which makes saving fuel fun. Together with 15 other countries worldwide, Shell Malaysia teams up for the first ever online global campaign that aims to educate motorists through a series of interactive and educational online mini-games. The point of it is that with the right choice of fuel and with a few simple changes to their driving habits, drivers can save fuel and reduce costs.
The Shell FuelSave “Target One Million” campaign will see a series of 6 mini-games being released over the coming months. Each module has been designed to elaborate a specific Shell FuelSave tip, making it fun and educational for all. The first module of the 6 series is the Shell FuelSave Challenge – registration is now available online for all motorists.
Other countries participating in the Shell FuelSave “Target One Million” includes Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Hong Kong, Hungary, Norway, Poland, Greece, Netherlands, Philippines, Singapore, Slovakia, Thailand, the United Kingdom and Turkey.
In line with Shell’s on-going efforts in educating its motorists on saving fuel, Shell Malaysia has previously ran similar initiatives such as the crowning of Europe and Asia’s Smartest FuelSavers in 2010 and achieving the Guinness World Record for the “Largest Fuel Efficiency Lesson” at the recent Global Shell FuelSave Day held One Utama last year.
