German carmaker Volkswagen is famed for its ability to create vehicles that are unique and special in terms of design, and the latest offering from the brand called the Volkswagen Beetle Fender Edition is no different. This very vehicle was unveiled at the Frankfurt Auto Show at the end of 2011, and highlighted an audio system that was designed and installed by guitar giant Fender. Let us now look at the details and specification of this special edition vehicle from Volkswagen.
The Volkswagen Beetle Fender Edition looks a very exclusive and special vehicle in terms of exterior and especially interior design, and a very innovative one as well. The response to this vehicle was exceptionally good when it was unveiled at the Frankfurt Auto Show, and thus Volkswagen decided to produce it, albeit as a special edition vehicle. Guitar-favouring drivers would definitely like the car, especially when you consider that the car’s cabin comes with plenty of guitar-like characteristics.
The audio system is provided by Fender, and it is a definite high point in the vehicle as it comes with a RCD 510 touchscreen panel as well as dual high-end tweeters. The car itself has been designed with the ‘Design’ trim level Beetle as the platform, and it is being offered in two different shades that are the Deep Black Pearl Effect as well as the Black Uni colour. Black was chosen as it highlights the many chrome details of the vehicle a lot better.
Some of the more exciting new features that have been included in the Fender Edition include stylish 18-inch disc alloy rims, exclusive wing mirrors and side sill inserts as well as the many Fender logos and Beetle wordings that you would find beautifully engraved in many different locations within the car. The dash-pad is undoubtedly gorgeous as it comes with ‘Sunburst’ finishing together with a Fender logo (in chrome). Three exclusive Fender guitar picks are being included with the shipment of each Fender, and each car also comes with redesigned sports seats that come with leather sides and headrests.
Watch out for the launch of this car later this year, and regions such as Europe, Australia and Asia will be the first recipients of this gorgeous set of wheels!
