No Flying Children, Please

Child seat is not just for babies but small children too. Letting your child to seat in a proper car seat is much safer than carrying it with your arms while driving because accident may happen. You must have at least one baby car seat that you can carry from one car to another. Bring it along when you are going to travel with your baby. Most of the car rental companies provide infant car seat, as long as you inform the rental company when you make bookings.

If your child is aged between months to 5 years old, you have to make use of a child seat. In most countries, a child is only allowed to sit in front, starting from age 6 years old, and must wear the seatbelt with a booster seat. Else they have to sit behind. In many countries, it is an offense to let your underage child to sit in front, even for a short trip.

If you do not secure your child to a safety seat, your child may get badly hurt when an accident happens. A minor accident can leave a big impact to your child. Your child might get killed! It is advisable to position the child seat in the rear facing direction, at the centre of the back seat. When your child is able to sit by himself or grown up older, you can buy a forward facing child seat. Make use of the additional straps to keep it in place; in case the car seatbelt failed to do so. This is to secure the seat from moving.

You can get those used ones but it won’t be as good as new seats. Some parents will pass over the seat from one child to another. There are many sizes of car seat that you can choose from, according to your child’s weight and age.

You will not regret getting a child seat. Precaution is the keyword. Please use child seat! Life is unpredictable. You will know what will happen the very next second. Your child needs protection too. We as adults wear seatbelts when we are in the car. So do children of all ages.
