Ahmad Faiz Abdul Muvin has had a good month, we presume. After walking away as the Grand Prize winner of the “Shell Pays Your Utility Bills” contest, the 34-year old from Nilai, Negeri Sembilan not only received a 5-year supply of Shell Helix Ultra, but an extra RM100,000 in his wallet!
“When my name was announced, no words could describe the feeling I was going through. Initially, when I won RM20,000 in Week 1, I was already very thankful for the pleasant surprise. I knew I was going to be a part of the Grand Finale but never really expected to walk away with this windfall of RM100,000 cash and be free from paying utility bills for a good few years” the civil servant said after defeating the other 18 finalists.
The 10-week “Shell Pays Your Utility Bills” contest was launched nationwide in February by Shell, to complement Shell’s maingrade fuel – Shell FuelSave 95. To participate, motorists needed to pump a minimum of RM30 of any Shell fuels, purchase lubricants or any Shell Select items, then fill up a contest form and drop the contest form with the purchase receipt attached.
“Shell will continue to provide quality fuels and reward our customers with promotions that will make a difference in their lives. In this campaign alone, we received close to 15 million contest forms and rewarded more than 5,000 Malaysians,” said Tuan Haji Azman Ismail, Managing Director of Shell Malaysia Trading Sdn. Bhd. and Shell Timur Sdn. Bhd.
