Volkswagen has revealed a new R-Line model in the UK. Volkswagen is bringing some sportiness to its Polo hatchback with the new styling pack to both the interior and exterior. The R-Line model will be available in both three door and five body type. The company has put the VW Polo R Line price range at £15,195 for the three-door version and £15,815 for the five-door version. First delivery of the R-Line can be expected in July.
Engine and specification:
Equipped with 1.2-litre TSI petrol engine, it has a capacity to deliver 105 PS of maximum power. It is mated with a six-speed manual transmission.
Performance:
In terms of performance, The Polo R-Line is able to accelerate from 0-100km/h in 9.7 seconds. The car has a top speed of 190 km/h. The CO2 emissions recorded is 124 g/km. Fuel consumption is rated at a fairly remarkable 53.3mpg on the combined cycle.
Exterior & Interior
On the exterior, the R Line is different by an exclusive styling pack. The styling pack will be consisting of a sportier R Line front and rear bumpers, a black gloss radiator grille with R Line badging, deeper side sills. The roof lining is finished in black cloth. Great tires add the spottiness for the car. For that reason, Volkswagen has included a set of 16-inch ‘Mallory’ alloy wheels for the R-Line.
In the cabin, Volkswagen has fitted sports seats with ‘Kyalami’ cloth upholstery with an R Line logo on the headrests. In addition, there is new a leather-trimmed three-spoke steering wheel with an R Line logo and brushed aluminium scuff plates with R Line logos. It also comes with a dark-tinted rear window (65 per cent light-absorbing) for more privacy.
Standard equipment is comprehensive, from the addition of semi-automatic air conditioning, iPod-compatible stereo, trip computer, height-adjustable front seats, tyre pressure monitor and remote central locking.
