Toyota Fun-Vii (Touchscreen Body Structure)
One of Japan’s successful Automaker – Toyota has stepped up in the world of automotive innovations when Toyota Fun – Vii was introduced in the recent 2011 Tokyo Auto Show. Vehicle Interactive Internet – is what Fun Vii stands for. It has a unique futuristic design which at first glimpse will capture your attention.
Toyota is a Japanese Automaker famous for models such as Camry, Harrier, Vios, and others. In the later months of 2011, Toyota created a concept that enables a vehicle to be connected online using the body structure as the monitor. The way I look at it, it is like an I-Phone which is converted into a car utilizing the doors wide panel as the screen. Well, it is indeed an innovation.
Looking into the functions, the body shell of Toyota Fun-Vii can change its image like changing your desktop theme on your computers. This can be done at a touch into the screen panel or body structure of the car. Connectivity allows the owner or driver of the car to connect to the Dealer’s website for scheduled maintenance whenever it is due. This car can accommodate four passengers and was based on Toyota IQ platform.
Toyota Fun – Vii is an Electric Car powered by Lithium Ion Batteries in which at full charge could reach up to 65 miles or equivalent to 104 kilometers. The car’s exterior design compliments future transportation of Japan as it may seem. Personally, the car captured my attention at a single stare. Who wouldn’t? It is like a sophisticated toy that has been brought to life.
Toyota Fun – Vii is still unsure whether it will hit production lines of the automaker but the introduction of the car at the recent Tokyo Auto Show would have captured the attention of car enthusiasts all over. A car with body structure that can be touched and performs the functions of a touch screen monitor, seems hard to comprehend especially when you could just see it on videos and pictures.
