The Beginner’s Guide to Unlocking the Car Lock

By 7 months ago 0 comments

It’s really bad when your car’s lock is damaged or when you’ve accidently shut the door of your car before taking the car keys out of the ignition. Instead of wasting your precious time by trying to break into your own car or waiting for the locksmith to come and help you in unlocking the car’s lock, you could also help yourself out first by unlocking it on your own. Make sure that you unlock it properly so that your car won’t be damaged. In cases such as this, it really helps if you could get yourself a ‘slim jim’ or another long and flat piece of metal. Follow the simple tips below to unlock your car:

1. Insert the long and flat piece of metal or the ‘slim jim’ gently into the area where the window is near to the weatherstripping. Do it with extra care as it’s very easy to cause damages to the weatherstripping.

2. Move that long and flat piece of metal or the ‘slim jim’ of yours in a circular motion below the weatherstripping in order to search for a lever. Different models and makes of cars have the lever placed in different locations inside the car.

How to Patching Up A Punctured Tire

By 7 months ago 0 comments

Getting stuck in the middle of nowhere where phone lines are down and the nearest town is a few kilometers because of a flat tire is always a scary thought. Let it be glass shrapnel or a piece of nail; learn how to do the patch work usually done in shops to never get stuck in the middle of nowhere again.

Obviously you cannot fix what you do not know has broken. Well in this case you cannot do patchwork without knowing where the hole is. Find a large water container. Fill it up with water. Observe and note the part of the tire that has the most bubbles coming up, that’s where the hole is.

Japan Unveils the New Toyota Camry Hybrid

By 7 months ago 0 comments

What if I told you that a new Camry hybrid has been launched in Japan earlier this month? Unfortunately the tax structure in Malaysia would not encourage this vehicle to be brought into our country, as hybrid tax exemptions are only obtained by vehicles that carry engines smaller than 2,000cc. This means that this Camry hybrid would not qualify as it carries a 2AR-FXE 2.5-liter Atkinson cycle internal combustion engine. That means that the vehicle will for now only be available in Japan, as the Camry that was released in the United States recently also looks different compared to the newly unveiled Camry in Japan. Upon further inspection, we realized that the Japanese variant of the Camry looks more like the Aurion design that was released by Toyota Ukraine.

Simple Ways to Protect the Beauty and Finish of Your Vehicle

By 7 months ago 0 comments

Many car owners wonder if it is much better for them to use the ‘wax’ or the ‘sealer’ in order to protect the beauty and the finish of their vehicles. Truth be told, both types of products are able to protect the paint of your vehicle against ultraviolet, ozone, and moisture. The sealer is typically a petroleum-based product which normally contains silicones that usually last much longer (over a year and beyond) compared to an ordinary wax.

A sealer or wax that is applied by rubbing it on your vehicle’s finish will give you better protection as opposed to the products that are sprayed on at most car washes. When you’re choosing a sealer or wax, choose the one that is compatible with your vehicle’s finish. Different vehicle will need a different kind of product as some vehicles may have clear coat or base coat finish. Once you’ve picked the right sealer or wax, follow these tips in applying wax or sealer:

  • Read through the product’s instructions very carefully, and follow the instructions given accordingly.
  • Before you start applying the sealer or wax, make sure that you wash and dry your vehicle.

Car Fuel Pumps

By 7 months ago 0 comments

When you step on the brake pedal and they make these bird like whistles, you know they need your attention. Why do people trust their brake pedals so much but when it comes to that little light indicator that blinks on the dashboard, nobody cares? That’s the one that allows your car to move. That little light indicates that your fuel pumps need to be serviced.
