Mitsubishi Motors Corp (MMC) is definitely well-known in the automobile world, especially in our country, as it has been strategically been working with Proton over the last couple of decades in supplying engines for the earlier Proton vehicles. Mitsubishi continues to work with Proton over the last few years even after Proton successfully manufactured its own engine, and the latest collaboration between MMC and Proton Holdings Berhad looks set to assist Mitsubishi to increase its market share in Malaysia. According to MMC’s chief executive officer Tetsuya Oda, Mitsubishi is looking to triple its market share in our country by three times its current number by 2015. Why Cars have Low Resale Value
People often say that owning a car is like owning a house because you will need to fork out the deposit while having to pay the instalment fees every month in order to sustain the car, same like a house. However, it is crucial to invest in a car because, it can bring you to places you want to go and without a car, you will not be able to go to work to generate more income. However, it is true to say that investments on cars are not beneficial because from the day your car is registered, be prepared to loose at least 20% of its value while reselling it. Some might even need to fork out some money along that process. Through observation, there are few factors that determine the resale value of the car.
First of all, the design of the car is very important, if the car has the shape of a coffin, or a loaf of bread, people will not fancy it. Thus, minimises the resale value of the car. The most favourable car in Malaysia at the moment is sedan cars or MPVs, thus allowing such car owners to place a higher price for their cars. Besides, the fuel efficiency of a car is one of the key features that the drivers are looking for while purchasing a car. Cars that are above 2,500 cc are viewed as a high end car which requires high maintenance, as the renewal of road tax and fuel consumption is very pricey. However, this varies from car to car, thus further research had to be carried out before engaging yourself with the purchase of a resale car.
Crossing Over With The X-Gear (Part 2)
Powering the vehicle is the HR16DE engine shared with the 1.6L Grand Livina. Thus while it may not feature CVTC as in the Latio, it still manages to perform closely with 105ps/5200rpm of power and 150Nm/4400rpm of torque. Putting all the energy onto the wheels is only via 4-speed automatic transmission. Like most offering from Nissan’s stable, suspension setup consist of MacPherson struts with stabilizer bars in front while the rear end sits on a torsion beam.
On the move, the X-Gear is not a vehicle to be understated by the figures on paper. Even though its drivetrain does fall short compared to some competitors, there is no lack of nippiness behind the wheel. In urban drives, the Drive-by-Wire throttle responses quite well whereas the electric powered steering system is nicely weighted if not a bit numb. A big bonus over most SUVs is the comfort level. Over bumps and raised manhole covers, the suspension soaks up road irregularities wonderfully.
Crossing Over With The X-Gear (Part 1)
Car designs are constantly changing according to the needs of time. Take for example the 4×4. The original pioneers were designed to plough through mud and bushes, had no compromise on fuel efficiency, and threw its occupants into the air whenever the tarmac ends. Later, some evolved to more urban friendly SUVs with cushier interiors, selectable or automatic all-wheel drive, while retaining their throne-line driving positions. Further down the road, some underwent a diet treatment with just 2-wheel drive, sub-1800cc engines, almost car-like handling and fuel consumption that give some family cars a good run for their money.
Review on Car radiator
Car engines run at an optimum temperature. When the car engine runs, it generates a significant amount of heat. Nevertheless, too much of a good thing will eventually turn back and bite you from behind. That’s what car radiators. They make sure that heat doesn’t overheat the engine.
The radiator is the main part of a car’s cooling system. Together with other pipes and fans it makes sure that the car engine does not overheat. It ensures that the car is kept at an optimum temperature where it can run optimally to give the maximum performance possible. This optimum temperature also makes the lubricants in the engine function best prolonging the car’s lifespan.

The Beginner’s Guide to Unlocking the Car Lock
It’s really bad when your car’s lock is damaged or when you’ve accidently shut the door of your car before taking the car keys out of the ignition. Instead of wasting your precious time by trying to break into your own car or waiting for the locksmith to come and help you in unlocking the car’s lock, you could also help yourself out first by unlocking it on your own. Make sure that you unlock it properly so that your car won’t be damaged. In cases such as this, it really helps if you could get yourself a ‘slim jim’ or another long and flat piece of metal. Follow the simple tips below to unlock your car:
1. Insert the long and flat piece of metal or the ‘slim jim’ gently into the area where the window is near to the weatherstripping. Do it with extra care as it’s very easy to cause damages to the weatherstripping.
2. Move that long and flat piece of metal or the ‘slim jim’ of yours in a circular motion below the weatherstripping in order to search for a lever. Different models and makes of cars have the lever placed in different locations inside the car.
