Toyota Avanza has been here in Malaysia for 6 years with countless times of facelift done to it without a replacement model being rolled out. The Avanza is once again, given it another update, and this time, subtle update with only a ‘body strip’ added for the exterior.
Based on the feedback from consumers, the interior of Avanza now gets a dark interior colour scheme as opposed to the cream interior the ‘pre-facelift’ Avanza had. Carpet mats and center console box are also black in colour now so that the cabin is easier to be take cared of compared to light colour interior.
Toyota Rush, in the other hand, has a more significant change in terms of exterior. It features a new front bumper and protector plate, making the front look lower than the pre-facelift Rush. On the rear, it gets restyled tail lamps and a new protector plate. Wing mirrors indicators and 99% UV cut and 40% IR cut solar film come as standard across the range.
Other than the new dark colour scheme for the interior, there’s a new gearknob design, three-spoke steering wheel and a 2-DIN unit audio system that plays MP3s and WMA from either CDs or USB storage.
