Concept Car suggested by a Filipino friend – Lexus LFA!
One of my buddies here in Malaysia, who works in the Music Industry as Vocal Instructor in ‘The Singing Shop’ in which I am also offering Guitar lessons, has suggested to me that I write something about this car – Lexus LFA. Well, he did post a video of the vehicle on my wall at Facebook and he commented that he really like the sound that the mufflers of this car produces. Who wouldn’t? The sound is like music to his ears, mine and of course to all sports car enthusiast.
Lexus LFA is a racing prototype concept car produced by Lexus and categorized as a two seat ‘exotic sports coupe’. It followed the ‘IS F’ model of Lexus and the second model line of ‘F Marque’ performance vehicles. There were three version of this concept car that started in 2005, in 2007 which featured further furnished interior and exterior design and in 2008 that came with a ‘roadster’ model.
This powerful striking sports coupe’ is powered by ’72 degree 4.8 liter V-10 engine stocked with dual VVT-I which delivers maximum power output at 8.7K rpm. Imagine a 10 cylinder engine at 4.8 liter as the power source for a vehicle body that weighs less than a normal car? Power up!
The Chassis frame is made from ‘carbon fiber re-enforced polymer (CFRP), has an ‘Electric Power Steering Rack’, Electronically Controlled Brakes, and with a three mode ‘Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management (VDIM) stability control system with sports setting which is a must for racing cars.
How much is this car? Go to http://www.lexus.com/ and click Pricing and Options. Well, the price would not hinder a loaded car collector to purchase this vehicle. You could also download the brochure at http://www.lexus-lfa.com/.
Did you know that Lexus LFA topped the list of the five V10 Road Cars by ‘Stiffed Magazine’ in April 2010 and has won several comparison track test which was found to be ‘dynamically superior to the GT-R in nearly every category’ by Motor Trend in May 2010?
