BMW X6 M G-Power Typhoon RS
Imagine if your car’s actual name had the word ‘typhoon’ or ‘power’ in it. Imagine if your car has 900hp, propelling you past the 300km/h mark. Imagine if your car is one of the 5 rare breeds of specially developed BMW X6 globally.
What you are seeing here is the G-Power X6 Typhoon RS ultimate V10. Under the bonnet is a 5.5L V10 block, supercharged by two ASA T1-316 compressors. The high-performance MAHLE pistons and the 7-bearing crank shaft are forged. With a new engine data map, peak performance is rated at 900hp / 662kW at 8000rpm while maximum torque is at 870Nm at 6800 rpm, transmitted to the rear wheels via 6-speed auto gearbox.
Without the all-wheel-drive hardware, a few titanium parts for the exhaust system, four individual carbon-fiber seats with some other interior weight reduction, this beast is 150kg off the standard X6. Century dash takes a mere 4.2 seconds, and will march up to 200km/h in 13 seconds.
“The intention behind the G-POWER X6 TYPHOON RS ultimate V10 is, besides the aim of building the world’s fastest SUV, to create a vehicle to do homage to M GmbH’s fascinating V10 power unit”, according to G-POWER’s Managing Directors Christian Stöber and Zoran Zorneke.
