Hyundai has just release their 2011 Hyundai Elantra at Busan International Motor Show. It is named Hyundai Avante in Korea and also Malaysia, but worldwide it is known as Elantra. This compact car is just looking sportier with the curve and lines.
This 2011 Hyundai Elantra / Hyundai Avante will be powered by a new 1.6-litre Gamma Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) engine that develops 140ps and 17.0kh/m of torque with a 6-speed automatic transmission. This is said to save 10 percent more fuel than the setup in current 2010 model.
Setting the standard high, this compact will include HID headlamps, LED combination lamps in the rear, heated rear seat, puddle lamps and a color TFT LCD information displayed in the guage cluster. You will see this going on sale second half of this year.

hyundai avante and waja sharing same technology and platform frm puduraya platform 8 to alor setar 920pm bus engine bay,thus the FC should be around 20km per litre,at high speed, my fren ah siong’s standard waja can give topspeed at 225km/h with brother’s spoiler and skirting fix on it while engine tuned with jinjang exhaust specialist…and the resale value is higher than BMW, he brought at 62k and after 4 years sold at 52,he even made some cash to buy his current monster machine proton insipra.whch is heavenly inspired by mitshu…now currently he is trying to combine hyundai avante and insipra together like halfcut at kepong workshop…
may i know how much is the car going for? is it 1.6? manual?
how about the fuel consumption compared to waja? i m driving waja now and after 5 years, i felt that it is drinking more petrol now.
Hyundai Avante is 1.6/1.8. Which engine do you have in your waja? I don’t think we know much about the fuel consumption now but it’s not going to have a big difference when compared to other 1.6/1.8 cars.
